Quartz rod

A fused quartz rod manufactured by Heraeus Quarzglas is available in various material grades and dimensions.
The single-step quartz rod is directly drawn in a continuos electrical fusion process that covers an outer diameter range from 8 mm - 45 mm. These direct drawn quartz rods are a cost efficient solution for many applications.
The multi-step fused silica rod undergos several hot processing steps yielding generally low bubble content and high material homogeneity. These fused quartz rods are available in electrically and flame-fused grades in an outer diameter range from 1.5 mm to 45 mm.
All quartz glass rods are supplied with either snap-cut or machine-cut ends. The typical length for a fused quartz rod is 1220mm (48").
